Elevate Austin Remodeling design consultation

Our Process

A Remodel Should Feel Like a Partnership.

Six clearly defined stages. One dedicated project manager. Complete visibility from first conversation to final walkthrough. This is how Elevate works.

Why Process Matters

Most Remodeling Stress Is Process Failure.

Surprise costs. Missed timelines. Contractors who disappear. Decisions made without you. These aren't inevitable — they're symptoms of a broken process. At Elevate, we've built a remodeling experience around the things homeowners actually care about: clear communication, transparent pricing, predictable timelines, and a team that treats your home with the same care they'd give their own.

01

Stage 01 — Consult

Design Consultation

1–2 hours

Every Elevate project begins with a focused, no-pressure conversation. We visit your home, walk the space, and listen. We want to understand how you live, what you love about your home, what frustrates you, and what you're hoping to achieve. There's no sales pitch — just an honest discussion about your goals, your timeline, and whether we're the right fit for your project.

Your role in this stage

  • Share your goals, wishlist, and any inspiration images you've collected
  • Walk us through the space and point out what's working and what isn't
  • Ask every question you have — no question is too basic
  • Be honest about your budget range — it helps us design the right solution

Stage deliverable

A clear sense of project scope, package fit, and next steps — with no obligation.

02

Stage 02 — Design

Design & Selection

1–3 weeks

Your dedicated designer creates a personalized design board tailored to your space, your style, and your package. You'll see curated material selections — tile, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, hardware, flooring, and lighting — along with layout recommendations and a clear visual direction. We refine until it's right. No generic selections, no rushed decisions.

Your role in this stage

  • Review your design board and provide honest feedback
  • Make material selections with your designer's guidance
  • Flag anything that doesn't feel right — this is the time to adjust
  • Confirm your layout preferences before we move to estimate

Stage deliverable

A finalized design board with confirmed material selections and layout direction.

03

Stage 03 — Estimate

Detailed Estimate

3–5 business days

Once your design is confirmed, we produce a transparent, itemized estimate. Every line item is accounted for — labor, materials, fixtures, permits, and project management. No vague allowances designed to look low and grow later. No hidden fees. You know exactly what you're getting and exactly what it costs before you commit to anything.

Your role in this stage

  • Review the estimate line by line — ask about anything that's unclear
  • Discuss any scope adjustments before signing
  • Confirm your project start date preference
  • Review and sign the project agreement

Stage deliverable

A signed project agreement with a locked scope, fixed price, and confirmed start date.

04

Stage 04 — Approve

Pre-Construction Approval

1–2 weeks before start

Before a single tool touches your home, we complete a pre-construction review. Materials are ordered and confirmed. Permits are filed where required. Your project schedule is finalized and shared with you. Your project portal is activated — giving you real-time visibility into your project's progress, schedule, and communication thread. You know exactly what's happening and when.

Your role in this stage

  • Review and confirm your project schedule
  • Activate and explore your project portal
  • Prepare the space — clear cabinets, move valuables, arrange temporary kitchen or bath access
  • Confirm your preferred communication method and frequency

Stage deliverable

A fully prepared project — materials confirmed, permits filed, schedule locked, portal active.

05

Stage 05 — Build

Professional Build

Varies by package and scope

Construction begins on schedule. Your dedicated project manager is on-site regularly, coordinating every trade, managing the schedule, and maintaining quality standards throughout. You have a direct line to your project manager at all times. Updates flow through your project portal. If something unexpected comes up — it occasionally does in remodeling — we communicate immediately and present solutions before proceeding.

Your role in this stage

  • Stay in communication through your project portal
  • Reach out to your project manager with any questions or concerns — don't wait
  • Review progress at agreed-upon milestones
  • Approve any change orders in writing before work proceeds

Stage deliverable

A professionally managed construction phase with regular updates and zero surprises.

06

Stage 06 — Closeout

Quality Closeout & Warranty

Final week

We don't consider a project complete until it passes our internal quality-control inspection and you're fully satisfied. We walk the completed space with you, address any punch-list items, and confirm that every detail meets the Elevate standard. Your warranty activates on closeout day. You receive your warranty documentation, care instructions for your new materials, and a direct contact for any warranty questions.

Your role in this stage

  • Walk the completed space with your project manager
  • Note any punch-list items — we address them before final sign-off
  • Review your warranty documentation
  • Share feedback — we genuinely want to know how we did

Stage deliverable

A completed, inspected, warranty-backed project — and a space you're proud to live in.

What We Stand For

The Standards Behind the Process.

Radical Transparency

No vague allowances. No surprise costs. No decisions made without you. You have full visibility into your project's scope, budget, and schedule from day one.

Proactive Communication

We don't wait for you to ask. Your project manager communicates proactively — updates, decisions, and any unexpected developments reach you before they become problems.

Uncompromising Craftsmanship

Package tier changes the materials and complexity — never the quality of our work. Every Elevate project receives the same standard of craftsmanship, regardless of budget.

Full Accountability

We own the outcome. If something isn't right, we fix it — no deflection, no excuses. Our warranty-backed workmanship is a commitment, not a marketing line.
